Development of a "ruggedized" GPS/LEO antenna that would measure only 13.25 inches by 9.90 inches, while standing .870 inches in height, has been advanced by Bellingham, Wash.-based Integral Technologies [ITKG], company Chairman and CEO William Robinson said.

The antenna is designed to withstand the elements and yet endure significant shock and vibration effects, Robinson said. The purpose of the antenna is for use in mobile asset tracking and fleet management. Applications include GPS tracking and LEO data communications to trucking fleets, heavy equipment, marine vessels, railway cars, shipping containers and transit vehicles, he added.
