Guardian Mobility's Sentinel GPS remote asset-and people-tracking device includes a simplex (one-way) transmitter for data relay via the Globalstar satellite network. The location-enabled unit uses a Fastrax itrax02/8 12-channel GPS receiver for a reported 6-meter accuracy or better 95 percent of the time. The device has a diameter less than 7 inches, configurable ports (RS-232, 8 digital input; 4 digital output, and 4 analog input) and uses configurable power inputs from various battery configurations, local power, or special power inputs such as solar power.
