Hsinchu City, Taiwan-based Polstar Technologies has developed an array of GPS-based devices for automobile and marine navigation applications. Polstar's PGM-101 high-sensitivity GPS module for weak-signal acquisition and tracking can incorporate up to 12-channel correlators (L1, C/A code).

PGM-101 measures 27 X 27 X 9 millimeters and consumes 120 mW via a 3.3VDC. It has an automatic "sleep" mode, and delivers a 50-second cold start and 2-second hot start. Acquisition sensitivity of -139 dBm and tracking sensitivity of -152 dBm are reached with a reported position accuracy of better than 5 meters and a velocity accuracy of better than 0.1 meter per second.

Polstar also produces a slightly larger PGM-102 GPS module; mouse, Bluetooth, and card receivers; a marine smart antenna; and a car navigator.
