Summer is slow-down time. People take vacations, stop thinking about work and technology, and generally take things easy. Or at least that's the popular wisdom on the topic. The reality is that tech companies—big and small—are gearing up for the fall buying season and, bit by bit, giving us little glimpses of some of the goodies that could be hot sellers come September through December. At the recent Tokyo-themed Digital Experience trade show in New York City, we got a little taste of some of that cool technology (along with loads of sushi and other Japan-flavored treats). Here's a quick tour of some of the highlights.
